NJJA Conference Scholarships
Scholarship Guidelines
- Individuals or agencies will be eligible for scholarships to cover the $75 registration fee.
Lodging, mileage, and non-conference provided meals will be the responsibility of the
participant. - A complete application AND registration form must be submitted and signed by the individual
applicant and their supervisor by the April 11th deadline. No applications will be considered
after that time. - Scholarships are only available to applicants who have not yet registered for the conference.
- Applicants will be notified by April 19th if they have been selected to receive a conference
scholarship. Submitted registration forms will be forwarded to Glenda Hinz for registration to
the conference. - Participants awarded a scholarship must attend the entire conference. Scholarships are not
transferable to other persons within the agency except in extreme circumstances. - Scholarship awards are based on the following:
- Financial need of the agency or individual
- Completeness of the application
- Past attendance at NJJA conferences
- Relevance of the conference to the participants job
- Agencies may request more than one scholarship for individuals in their agency. All
requests from an agency should be submitted at the same time. If possible, the supervisor
should provide a cover letter indicating if there is any specific priority for those requesting
attendance. Each person should complete a separate application and registration form.
