Webinar: All you Ever Wanted to Know About Guardianship

This presentation is to learn about the differences between a power of attorney and a guardianship. Specifically, what is required to do a power of attorney vs. a guardianship and the procedures involved in both. Additionally, gain the knowledge to know what it means to be a guardian or a power of attorney and the situations to when each one is applicable.

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree from Doane College, Jayne went on to get her Juris Doctor degree from Creighton University School of Law. Jayne joined Legal Aid of Nebraska as a law clerk in the summer of 2013 and has been there ever since.

Since graduating from law school and passing the bar, Jayne has continued working in the areas of guardianships, family law, advanced directives, housing, and public benefits such as Social Security and Medicaid. She was appointed to the Supreme Court Commission on Guardianships and Conservatorships in 2019. In 2020, she was elected as the program chair for the Robert M. Spire Inns of Court and continues to serve in this role.
